Advent is deeply meaningful of time of reflection and celebration, of the weeks leading up to Christmas. Our theme is “The Slow Work of God” and our gatherings will explore what it means to partner with God patiently and faithfully in the restoration and healing of our world. God’s work is always underway, but the hectic pace and endless distractions of our lives can obscure our vision and hinder our faith. The good news is that we can choose to slow down and reconnect with God’s never-ending project of loving this world into wholeness. Let’s grow together in Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love this Advent season!

Our annual Church Business Meeting will be next Sunday, December 8 at 3pm. A packet is available Sundays and online with the proposed budget. There will also be ministry reports, and decisions about new Council members. Please mark your cakendar and plan to attend if you are able!

Our Missions Offering goal to support our missionaries serving both globally and locally is $20,000, and we are over halfway there! Butler offers a monthy food distribution, but the need in our community is greater than ever. In response to the suspension of SNAP benefits, we are inviting donations of non-perishable food supplies to have available throughout the month. Volunteer coordinators are also needed.

To help, contact the church office. Food donations can be brought during he week or on Sundays. You can also give online to "food ministry."
