Advent is deeply meaningful of time of reflection and celebration, of the weeks leading up to Christmas. Our theme is “The Slow Work of God” and our gatherings will explore what it means to partner with God patiently and faithfully in the restoration and healing of our world. God’s work is always underway, but the hectic pace and endless distractions of our lives can obscure our vision and hinder our faith. The good news is that we can choose to slow down and reconnect with God’s never-ending project of loving this world into wholeness. Let’s grow together in Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love this Advent season!

Please note that the church office will be closed this week (Dec 24-Jan 1) for Christmas holidays. Regular office hours will resume Friday, January 2nd.  We will be checking messages during the break. 

Butler offers a monthy food distribution, but the need in our community is greater than ever. In response to the suspension of SNAP benefits, we are inviting donations of non-perishable food supplies to have available throughout the month. Volunteer coordinators are also needed.

To help, contact the church office. Food donations can be brought during he week or on Sundays. You can also give online to "food ministry."

Our Amor y Fe congregation is planning a “Festival de Dia de Reyes” (Kings Day Festival) for children, on Sunday afternoon January 4. We are also planning to bless each child with a toy gift. To donate or to sign up, please contact Pastor Elbio or the church office (559-252-3741). The event is free and open to friends, but each child must be registered in advance. Thank you!
