For indoor events, facemasks are optional for those who are fully vaccinated, but still encouraged.
Children are asked to wear facemasks, especially during kids' classes.

A note about mask wearing (June 2021)

* Children and anyone at risk should continue to wear a facemask indoors. Although those who are fully vaccinated may choose not to wear a facemask, mask wearing continues to be a good option to protect yourself and set others at ease. We are so thankful for your cooperation and willingness to practice these important safety protocols. We will no longer be asking for sign-ins at our gatherings, and have also reduced our sanitizing of hard surfaces. Let’s continue to pray that COVID continues to recede, and with it these safety measures!

Covid-Safe Campus Guidelines
For the safety of your health and our Butler family, please follow the standard health guidelines when you come to campus:
Screening for Symptoms
If you, or any member of your household, have any of the following symptoms or have you experienced them within the last 14 days, and have not tested for covid, please stay home.
  • Fever, Cough, Shortness of Breath, and/or
  • Chills, Muscle Pain, Sore Throat, Loss of Smell or Taste

Social Distancing Guidelines
When arriving and while on campus, please be mindful of recommended social distancing guidelines.
  • Wear a mask covering your face and nose (optional but encouraged indoors)
  • Follow safe practices as outlined below.

Tips:

  • If you are in a high risk category (older adult, or immunocompromised) you are encouraged to evaluate your level of risk, and if needed remain at home, connecting online when possible.
  • Bring along your own reusable water bottle or closed drink container (labelling your bottle with your name is a good idea)
  • Wash your hands with soap and water frequently & before touching your face

Campus Reopening Plan
Following the onset of the pandemic, Butler Church adopted a Campus Reopening Plan to return safely to in person ministries. With the help of vaccines and greater experience with dealing with covid, in person gatherings have resumed with minimal limitations in this 'new normal' which have all become familiar with, Campus guidelines are modified as needed based on CDC and government announcements, and in response to local conditions.

Clarification About Timing:
Butler Church moves to each stage together, across all congregations. At each point, our biggest concern is safety.  We want to be confident that with each step, it is the best way to love and serve both the church and the people of Fresno. We want our gatherings to be safe places that also inspire people to follow Jesus.

Details on our Campus Reopening Plan available here.
What to expect:
  • Many frequently touched surfaces will have been cleaned in advance
  • Hand sanitizer will be available as you enter the meeting space
  • Extra masks will be available (supplies are limited, so please try to bring your own)
  • If someone begins experiencing symptoms while on campus, they will be provided with a space to isolate until able to return home
  • Our volunteers have CDC information regarding Covid-19 if you have any questions

With every challenge comes opportunity. Pray that God might use each of us to offer grace and peace to our community. Pray for our pastors and leaders as we discern ways to continue the fellowship and mission of the church. Be confident church, for God is able to do exceedingly more than we can hope or imagine.

How you can help
• Join our care team in reaching out to members of our Butler family who are not able to come in person.
• Serve our community by volunteering at food distribution
• Respond to emergency food needs as part of our food pantry team or by delivering food when requests arise
• Assist our custodian in sanitizing frequently touched services on campus and restocking supplies as needed

During this time, we encourage everyone to continue to follow safe practices:
• Wash your hands thoroughly and often, and refrain from touching your face.
• Cover your mouth with a tissue or the crook of your arm when coughing or sneezing.
• Wear a mask indoors especially if you are not fully vaccinated.
• Reduce physical contact. Instead of hugs and handshakes, we can still offer warm smiles, waves and humble bows!
• Look out for others. Let us not neglect our care and concern for one another while apart. Phone calls transmit no germs!
• Remain home if sick. Stay home, get well, and let others know so we can pray for you. You can check in here.
